Will yerba maté give me coffee-style jitters?
Maté carries its caffeine alongside naturally occurring L-theanine, so many people find it feels steadier and gentler than a strong coffee — an even, unhurried lift rather than a spike.
Is RISE gentle enough to drink first thing?
We blend coarse maté with Japanese sencha and golden turmeric, which softens maté’s natural astringency for an easy morning cup.
How much caffeine is in a cup of RISE?
Each pyramid delivers roughly 35–40 mg of naturally occurring caffeine on average — about half a standard espresso. Because it comes from unrefined whole botanicals (yerba maté, green tea and guarana), you’ll notice small, natural batch-to-batch variations — the mark of a real, unadulterated blend — for an even, gentle lift rather than a coffee spike.
Why is there fine golden dust on the bag and string?
We use unbleached, plant-based pyramids with no anti-static agents, so our coarsely-cut turmeric leaves a little harmless golden dusting in transit — a sign of raw, unadulterated botanicals.
Can I cold-brew RISE?
Yes — steep one pyramid in cold water in the fridge for 6–8 hours for a crisp, refreshing iced cup.
What does ginseng bring to the blend?
Panax ginseng is a root long prized in traditional botanical practice; here it rounds out the maté for a fuller morning character.
When should I drink RISE?
