You can absolutely start with just one. Most people start with the window they most want to change — usually mornings (Rise) or evenings (Rest). The full trio compounds over time, but one blend on its own is already worth it.

No — the calibration is the point. Rise pairs its caffeine source (yerba maté) with L-theanine, which modulates the caffeine curve to give you a gentler, longer-lasting focus without the crash or the jitteriness you can get from coffee alone.

Release is built around hawthorn leaves, lemon balm and linden flower — botanicals with a long tradition of supporting calm without sedation. The afternoon dip is real, and Release gives you something warm to reach for instead of a third coffee. Caffeine-free, so it won’t borrow from your evening.

No — deliberately. Rest is built around lemon balm, lavender and passionflower. The taste is soft, honeyed and herby — something you’ll actually look forward to.

Yes — every ingredient in every blend is certified organic. Cultever is independently audited by the Organic Food Federation (GB-ORG-04) and holds EU organic certification. No synthetic pesticides, herbicides or fertilisers anywhere in the supply chain. View our organic certificate.

Our blending partner is based in Germany, where the tradition of small-batch organic botanical sourcing runs deep. Each ingredient is traceable back to its origin farm. We won’t list an ingredient we haven’t verified ourselves.

None. No flavourings, no fillers, no flow agents, no “natural flavour” catch-all. What’s on the ingredient list is the entirety of what’s in the pouch.

A cup of Rise contains roughly 40–60mg of caffeine from the yerba maté — noticeably less than a standard espresso and roughly comparable to a strong green tea. The L-theanine present is what reshapes the caffeine effect.

We’d ask you to check with a healthcare professional before changing what you drink during pregnancy. Rise contains caffeine. Release and Rest are caffeine-free but contain botanicals (including hawthorn and passionflower) that are not fully studied in pregnancy. We’d rather you ask your midwife or doctor than rely on our label.

One pyramid, 200ml freshly boiled water at 100°C. Steep for 5–9 minutes depending on the blend. Longer steeps deepen the body; they don’t turn bitter the way black tea can.

You can re-steep once with slightly hotter water and a longer infusion time.

Yes. For cold brew, put one pyramid in 300ml of cold water and refrigerate for 6–12 hours. Rise cold-brewed makes an excellent morning alternative to iced coffee.

It’s your cup. Rise works well with oat milk. Release and Rest are designed to be drunk without — the flavour compounds are water-soluble and a fat addition changes the profile. But try it and see.

Each pouch contains 30 whole-leaf pyramid bags. At one cup per day, that’s a month’s supply per blend.

Tea is a food product, so once a pouch has been opened we can’t take it back — food-safety rules mean it can never be sold again, and we’d rather be straight with you about that than promise something we can’t honour.

We accept returns within 14 days of delivery on pouches that are unopened and in fully resaleable condition — seal intact, packaging undamaged.

How it works: email hello@cultever.com and we’ll confirm the return address. Return postage is paid by you, and we recommend a tracked service — until it reaches us it’s still your parcel. Once it arrives and we’ve checked the condition, we refund the full purchase price to your original payment method, usually within 3–5 working days.

If anything arrives faulty, damaged or simply isn’t what you ordered, none of the above applies — tell us and we’ll put it right at our cost, immediately. Your statutory rights are unaffected.

Plant-based cornstarch, heat-sealed so there are no glues. No nylon, no PET. They are compostable, though they need industrial composting conditions rather than a garden heap — your food waste caddy is the right home for them.

The outer pouch is FSC-certified paper with a thin PE inlay for moisture protection. The paper component is kerbside-recyclable in most UK councils; the PE inlay is not. We’re working on a fully compostable outer and won’t claim it’s recyclable until the whole pouch is. See our sustainability page for the full detail.

We ship via Huboo, who offsets their logistics emissions. We’re a small brand at the start of a long journey and we’d rather be honest about what we know than overclaim.
