Terms & Conditions

Last updated 31 July 2026 · Goddard Beverages Ltd, London

These terms govern your purchase from Cultever. We have written them the way we write everything else — plainly, so you can read them once and know where you stand. Nothing here removes the rights UK law gives you as a consumer.

01 Who you are buying from

Cultever is a trading name of Goddard Beverages Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales.

Company number 16877706
VAT number GB507896354
Registered office: 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom
Email: hello@cultever.com

All prices on this site are shown in pounds sterling and are the final price you pay for the goods. Loose tea and botanical infusions are zero-rated for VAT in the United Kingdom, so no VAT is added to the product price. Delivery charges, where they apply, are shown before you pay.

02 Placing an order

When you place an order you are making an offer to buy. A contract forms when we send you an order confirmation email. If something is out of stock, mispriced or we cannot fulfil the order, we will tell you and refund you in full — we will not simply substitute a different blend.

We may decline an order where we reasonably suspect fraud, where delivery falls outside the areas we ship to, or where an order appears to be for resale without agreement.

An account is created for you automatically when you order, so your order history, subscription and Protocol Credits are in one place. There is no password — you sign in with a secure link sent to your email.

03 Subscriptions

A subscription is a rolling contract with no minimum term and no cancellation fee. Before you pay, the checkout shows you the recurring amount, and the first renewal date. In plain terms:

  • Frequency. We ship and charge every 30 days unless stated otherwise at checkout.
  • Amount. Your renewal is charged at the price shown at checkout, including any tier or member discount, for as long as the subscription runs. If we ever need to change a renewal price we will email you at least 14 days beforehand, and you may cancel before it takes effect.
  • Payment. The payment method you used is charged automatically on each renewal date. If a payment fails we will retry and email you; if it cannot be taken, the subscription pauses rather than silently lapsing.
  • Skip, pause, cancel. You can delay a delivery, pause, or cancel at any time from your account, with no need to contact us and no questions asked. Changes made at least 24 hours before a renewal date apply to that renewal.
  • Cancelling. Cancelling stops all future charges. Any order already dispatched is not affected.

04 Protocol Credits

Protocol Credits are a loyalty benefit, not money. They have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for cash, sold, or transferred to another person or account.

  • Value. 10 credits equal £1 against a future order.
  • Earning. Credits are earned on subscription renewals from the second delivery onward, and through referrals and reviews as described on the site. One-off orders and the first subscription order do not earn credits.
  • Redeeming. Credits may cover up to 50% of an order total. They are applied automatically at checkout — there is no code to enter.
  • Expiry. Credits expire after 24 months of account inactivity. We will email you before that happens.
  • Closure. If you close your account, or if we close it for misuse of the referral programme, any remaining balance is forfeited.
  • Changes. We may change how credits are earned in future. Credits already in your balance keep the value they had when earned.

05 Founding Member benefits

Founding Members receive 25% off the Ritual subscription, kept for as long as that subscription runs continuously. To be clear about what "for life" means in practice:

  • The benefit is attached to your email address and is not transferable.
  • It applies while your subscription remains active. If you cancel entirely and later start a new subscription, the founding rate may no longer be available.
  • Pausing or skipping a delivery does not affect it.
  • If we discontinue a product or the subscription programme itself, the benefit ends with it. We would give you reasonable notice.

06 Delivery

We ship within the United Kingdom using a tracked 24-hour service, typically arriving in 1–3 working days from dispatch. Delivery is free on orders over £30 and on all subscriptions; otherwise it is £3.99.

Delivery estimates are estimates, not guarantees. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. If a parcel has not arrived within 10 working days of dispatch, contact us and we will investigate with the carrier and put it right.

07 Cancellation & returns

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations you have 14 days from receiving your order to change your mind. Because tea is a food product, that right applies to unopened pouches in fully resaleable condition — once a seal is broken the pouch cannot be sold again, so it cannot be returned.

To return an unopened pouch, email hello@cultever.com within 14 days and we will confirm the return address. Return postage is at your cost, and we recommend a tracked service, as the parcel remains your responsibility until it reaches us. Once it arrives and we have checked its condition, we refund the purchase price to your original payment method, usually within 3–5 working days and always within 14 days.

If anything arrives faulty, damaged or incorrect, none of the above applies: tell us and we will replace or refund it at our cost, including postage. Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are unaffected.

08 Our products

Cultever blends are food — organic botanical infusions to be enjoyed as part of a daily routine. They are not medicines, supplements or treatments, and nothing on this site should be read as medical advice or as a claim to prevent, treat or cure any condition.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, taking prescription medication, or living with a medical condition, please speak to a healthcare professional before drinking our blends. Allergen, ingredient, weight and storage information is shown on every product page and on the pouch.

Photography is representative. Because botanicals are agricultural, colour and appearance vary a little between harvests.

09 Reviews & your content

Reviews may only be left by verified customers about products they have bought. By submitting a review or photograph you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display it on our site and channels. We do not delete negative reviews — we remove only content that is abusive, unlawful, off-topic or not from a genuine purchase.

10 Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

11 Changes, disputes & law

We may update these terms; the version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction — though if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may bring proceedings in your own courts.

If something goes wrong, email hello@cultever.com first — we would much rather resolve it directly. If we cannot, you may use the government's Consumer Service via Citizens Advice.
